    Bipolar Junction transistors
    IC technology: TTL, ECL, CMOS, and BiCMOS
    Digital Electronics:
    • Combinational Circuits: Logic gates and circuits.
    • Sequential Circuits: flip flops, one shots, registers, and counters.
    • Arithmetic Logic Unit.
    • Decoders, Encoders, Multiplexers, and demultiplexers.
    • Memory.
    Important applications of the above is reviewed, with special emphasis to biomedical applications

  • By the end of the course the student should learn about Computer Graphics. The student should understand the main component of the computer for graphics input and output tools. By the end of the course the student should be able to design a complete graphics package and drawing tools for most of the important graphics 2D and 3D primitives and their attributes.

  • Fundamentals of Computers (Introduction) - Data Representation - Boolean Algebra and Logic Circuits - Registers and Counters - Computer Architecture (H/W) - Memory Definition - Addressing Memory Modes - Introduction to Computer Software - Operating Systems & System Software

    By the end of the course the student should understand the main components of the computer and their functionality. The student should be able to design a complete central processing unit with a corresponding simple instruction-set, even more he can put a simple assembly program using all of his instruction set.
